Clock Tower Landing is the big one, a $34 million public square that opened downtown on June 5, 2026, with an enclosed pavilion that finally gives the Overland Park Farmers' Market a year-round home, including a winter market on Saturdays from January through March. It also flattened a 10 to 12 foot grade change and took the site from 2 restroom stalls to 12. The city rebuilt playgrounds at nine parks in 2025 under a program called Plan Your Playground, where neighbors came to an open house at their own park and voted on the equipment they wanted.
Public Square
A $34 million rebuild of the square around the clock tower, and the Farmers' Market's permanent home. The enclosed pavilion means the market runs year-round now, winter Saturdays included, and the restrooms went from two stalls to twelve.
